A friend who works for the city of Kirkland, WA has a long commute from there to his home. He got wind today on the down low that the city council meeting might turn out to be quite interesting — think fireworks — tonight, but he doesn’t have to miss the drama or forgo family time.

Thanks to a very accessible 4-year old live-streaming program, the city council meetings can be watched online in real time as well as in archived form. So tonight he’ll get to be the fly on the wall he wants to be and in-the-know tomorrow at the water cooler.

I can’t wait to hear what happens. Oh wait! I can watch too!
