Once unthinkable

ISC_Imitation_Security_CameraOn Slashdot: A story in the Sunday Express with more surveillance-camera madness from the UK, where the government now wants to place 20,000 CCTV cameras to monitor families (“the worst families in England”) within their own homes, to make sure that “kids go to bed on time and eat healthy meals and the like.”

Don't they realize that putting cameras like this in one home will then encourage a million judges to then get to decide where to put the next million?

Out of the million judges, at least 20,000 of those will be fascists or radicals who won't care one iota about the 13 British or 10 American Bill of Rights.

Won't we ever learn that laws are not the answer to anything but the accumulation of power by those who can afford to hoard it.

At first this idea was just awful.

But, then I have been thinking about the kids of some families I know. They are never washed and look like heck all the time. Maybe cameras would help. Hell to pay in court though.

    Some people are just bad.
